Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team boss Toto Wolff is selling his Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series and it looks to be in excellent condition.

Mercedes-Benz unveiled the SL65 AMG Black Series at the 2008 Paris Motor Show but prior to that, Wolff actually served as one of the development drivers for the car, testing it out on various racetracks including the Nurburgring. After the car’s launch, Wolff purchased one directly from HWA AG and has owned it ever since.

Only 350 examples of the SL65 AMG Black Series were produced worldwide. Wolff’s car is finished in black, it currently resides in Switzerland and includes the owners’ handbooks, pouch, spare key, a history file, and the original sales agreement to Wolff.

This is unquestionably one of the most remarkable road-going production cars ever built by the German automaker and is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine supplemented by two turbochargers, a remapped ECU, and a bespoke exhaust system. The car pumps out no less than 670 hp and can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.8 seconds while sprinting through to a 199 mph (320 km/h) top speed.

The SL65 AMG Black Series can be immediately distinguished from lesser SL-series models thanks to a widebody kit with flared front and rear wheel arches, unique bumpers, fixed top and a fixed rear wing.

Wolff’s car is being sold by Tom Hartley Jnr and while no asking price is mentioned in the listing, the car has only been driven 3,204 miles (5,156 km) so it should command quite a hefty sum.
