Dodge muscle is going electric. The Stellantis brand has announced its new eMuscle program and says its first performance EV will hit the streets in 2024.
And Dodge dropped a huge clue about what to expect from its first electric muscle car by giving us a tiny glimpse of what looks like a modern reinterpretation of a 1968 Charger , though it’s not clear if it’s a coupe or a sports sedan that could serve as a replacement for either the Challenger or current Charger .
The carefully shot video clip, tagged ‘concept car’, doesn’t give much away, but what we can clearly make out is a black car with a long hood and the full-width grille of a ’68 Dodge Charger, whose sides and lower shape is picked out in LEDs instead of chrome.

Though the video closes with the car doing a four-wheel burnout, indicating it will be four- and not rear-wheel drive, Dodge didn’t release any details about the car including what it might be called, how many doors it has, or even if it’s the EV we’ll get in 2024.
And it might not be, because at the beginning of the video, Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis can be seen lifting up the corner of a cover hiding another car, this one red. Who’d bet against Dodge rebooting the Viper as an EV?
This is a developing story. We’ll update it as soon as we have more information.
