BMW has just come out with special editions for their X5, X6, and X7 SUVs. Called the X5 and X6 “Black Vermillion Edition” and the X7 “X7 Edition in Frozen Black metallic”, each special edition features a blacked-out aesthetic. Of the three, only the X5 Black Vermillion has been confirmed for the States.

As mentioned before, the X5 and X6 Black Vermillion Edition’s most prominent feature is the all-black color scheme. It includes the BMW Individual Frozen Black metallic paint, Shadow Line M Headlights, and red grille accents (the X6’s grille also lights up). Both cars also feature the M Sport Package, which is comprised of specific front and rear aprons, M high-gloss Shadow Line trim, and Orbit Grey matt 22″ double-spoke 742 M alloy wheels.

Rounding off the changes are gloss red M Sport brake calipers, which stand out from the rest of the car and complement the accents in the grille.

The interior of the Black Vermilion Editions features an M Alcantara Anthracite headliner, an “Edition” logo on the cupholder cover in BMW Individual black piano finish, a glass iDrive Controller, gear selector, and start/stop button, and BMW Individual Fineline Black wood trim with aluminum inlays. The the upholstery is all BMW Individual Merino Black leather, which is contrasted by red stitching on the front seats (the X5 has the stitching on the rear seats as well). Additionally, both the X5 and X6 feature red edging on the floor mats.

Like the X5 and X6 Black Vermilion Editions, the X7 also gets its own special edition, simply called the “X7 Edition in Frozen Black metallic”. As the name suggests, it has the same Frozen Black metallic paint as the X5 and X6 in addition to gloss black M Sport brake calipers behind 22″ Y-spoke 758 alloy wheels in Orbit Grey matt. The exterior comes with the M Sport Package and M high-gloss Shadow Line trim, while the interior features the M Alcantara Anthracite headliner and the glass iDrive Controller, gear selector, and start/stop button.

All three special edition vehicles can be ordered right now, with the official launch taking place in the beginning of August. Prices in Germany start at €93,200 for the X5 Black Vermilion, €100,700 for the X6 Black Vermilion, and €108,700 for the X7 in Frozen Black metallic, each including 19% sales tax. Additionally, a 350-unit run of the X5 Black Vermillion will make its way to the United States with a starting price of $82,300.
