The all-electric Kia EV6 has all the ingredients to be an excellent EV and in this video from Carfection, we get a great tour of some of the car’s lesser-known details.
The interior of the EV6 is particularly interesting. Kia has designed a cabin unlike any other in its range, equipping the car with a large digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch TFT curved infotainment screen. However, the most interesting component found within the EV6 is the floating center console.
You may have missed it in the original press photos of the car but the floating console is showcased beautifully in this video and really opens up the cabin of the car while adding loads of extra storage capacity. It adds a futuristic element to the EV6 but is also very practical and helps distinguish it from all other vehicles you’ll find on the market.

The Carfection presenter also likes how Kia equipped the EV6 with a unique steering wheel that features real buttons, not the capacitive buttons that many other EVs feature.
The Kia EV6 will also be offered with a handful of different powertrain configurations. Sitting at the top of the range will be the EV6 GT, equipped with a 77.4 kWh battery pack that has two electric motors making for a grand total of 576 hp. It can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds.
In the U.S., the EV6 will also be sold in First Edition guise with dual-electric motors making 313 hp, and offered with 218 hp when equipped with the single rear motor and the 77.4 kWh battery pack. The entry-level model has a 58 kWh battery pack and a single rear motor with 167 hp.
