Jeep used the Chicago Auto Show to introduce the 2022 Compass and now the company has revealed pricing will start at $24,995 when it arrives this fall.
Kicking things off is the entry-level Compass Sport, which features revised styling as well as new LED headlights. The model also comes equipped with tinted windows, roof rails and 16-inch aluminum wheels.
The cabin has been significantly improved as it features higher quality materials and a new dashboard. The latter is topped by an 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system, which is five times faster than its predecessor. Buyers will also find power windows / locks, a six-speaker audio system, and a 3.5-inch display in the instrument cluster.

A 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine resides under the hood and produces 177 hp (132 kW / 179 PS) and 172 lb-ft (233 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a six-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to the front wheels. Four-wheel drive is a $1,500 option and it comes with a more advanced nine-speed automatic gearbox.
Moving up the trim ladder is the $26,525 Compass Latitude. It features a more upscale exterior with body-color door handles, fog lights and 17-inch aluminum wheels.
Moving inside, there’s a “premium” wrapped steering wheel as well as seats with cloth and vinyl upholstery. Buyers will also find illuminated vanity mirrors, a proximity keyless entry system and an overhead console with LED ambient lighting.
The Compass Latitude LUX is an all-new trim and it’s designed to deliver “consumers a new level of comfort, luxury and safety, combined with legendary Jeep capability.” Pricing starts at $29,595 and it comes standard with 18-inch aluminum wheels as well as four-wheel drive.
Of course, the model is all about the interior and it doesn’t disappoint as it comes nicely equipped with heated leather front seats and a heated leather steering wheel. They’re joined by a power driver’s seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 7-inch cluster display and a larger 10.1-inch infotainment system.
One step up is the off-road focused Compass Trailhawk, which begins at $31,395. It has steel skid plates, a two-tone hood decal, a 1-inch lift kit and 17-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in meaty tires. Other highlights include red recovery hooks, an exclusive Selec-Terrain Rock mode, and an Active Drive Low 4×4 system that offers a 20:1 crawl ratio.
Interior changes are limited, but the model has leather and cloth seats as well as a dual-zone automatic climate control system. Other highlights include all-season floor mats, an expanded ambient lighting system and an available 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
Sitting at the top of the range is the $31,395 Compass Limited 4×4. It builds on the Latitude LUX and is distinguished by additional chrome trim as well as 18-inch aluminum wheels with gloss black pockets. The model also has a two-tone interior with contrast stitching as well as additional soft touch materials.
