Chinese car manufacturer Human Horizons unveiled the HiPhi X electric crossover at last year’s Beijing Auto Show and now appears to be working on a new EV.
Patent images of the vehicle filed with the Chinese Intellectual Property Office recently surfaced online and show that, while it will share some elements with the X, it will have its own identity. Found at the front of the EV is a blacked-out grill and sharp headlights connected with an LED light bar, as well as a sculpted hood and striking front air intakes.

Viewed from the side, key features such as the rear-view cameras immediately catch the eye, as do the large wheels and angular windows. Located at the rear of the new car from Human Horizons and its HiPhi division is an LED light bar and a large black area that may be hiding the charging port.
It isn’t yet known what powertrain the new car could have but it’s possible it will be available with similar battery pack and electric motor options as the HiPhi X. Flagship models of the X include a 97 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and feature dual electric motors combining to pump out 590 hp and 605 lb-ft (820 Nm) of torque, Car News China notes.
This latest model from Human Horizons will be yet another intriguing electric vehicle to emerge from China which is quickly establishing itself as one of the leaders in the EV sector. There is no word on when the car depicted in these patents could launch, but it will likely be previewed with a concept before hitting the market.
