A Los Angeles tuner by the name of Platinum Motorsport has just unveiled a bold host of upgrades for the Mercedes-AMG G63 that make it even more capable when the going gets tough.
In creating this bad-to-the-bone G63, Platinum Motorsport started off with the Widestar bodykit from Brabus. This bodykit includes flared wheel arches, a unique front fascia with a different grille and bumper, a carbon fiber bonnet, and a different rear bumper.

Platinum has then equipped the G63 with what it dubs the ‘Adventure’ package. This adds a lift kit, a Brabus wheel and off-road tire package, and a Brabus roof rack. Other modifications made include the fitment of headlight covers, a massive winch, roof-mounted LED spot lights, a ladder, and a carbon fiber spare wheel carrier on the tailgate. The running boards have also been powder coated and both a shovel and axe have been added to the roof rack.

The off-roader is dubbed the G700 in reference to the engine modifications it has undergone that lift power of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 from the regular model’s 577 hp to 700 hp. Sure, absolutely no one needs an off-roader with that much power but let’s be honest, most G-Wagons spent their life in urban areas, not along rugged off-road trails – plus, as the saying goes, there’s no such thing as too much power.
Purchasing a modified Mercedes-AMG G63 from Platinum Motorsport with all these modifications doesn’t come cheap. In fact, the tuner says it retails for around $550,000 to $600,000.
