Ford Temporarily Halts Online Bronco Reservations
Despite its apparent popularity, Ford’s Bronco has been thwarted with a series of issues. The launch was delayed twice, and customers have had issues with their hardtop roofs. Now, as Ford struggles to keep up with demand, they’ve had to halt online reservations for both two-door and four-door versions of the SUV. Those interested in picking one up are encouraged to work with dealers to see if they can source a model that has been already built or scheduled.
DS To Become An EV-Only Brand, Will Go Fully Electric In 2024
DS becomes the latest brand to go all-in on its EV promise. From 2024, the upmarket French automaker will offer only electric cars. While the ins and outs weren’t expanded upon, DS announced that they would offer an electric version of the DS 4, as well as a new EV based on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform.
2022 Genesis GV80 Launches In Korea With Luxurious Six-Seater Version
Genesis has launched their refreshed GV80 in their home market, ahead of an as-yet-unannounced introduction elsewhere. It features new colors, optional electric side steps, and a trailer hitch, better active safety features, and a system that continues to operate the fan for 30 minutes after the SUV is turned off to dry the inside of the air conditioner and remove moisture. the biggest change though is the introduction of a luxurious six-seater model.
Lincoln Aviator EV Due In 2023, Nautilus EV Could Arrive Two Years Later
Although it’s understood that both the Ford Edge and Lincoln Nautilus are on the chopping block, the latter could return as an EV come 2025. In more EV news, Ford has already confirmed plans for an electric Explorer and Aviator, and Automotive News says they’ll arrive in 2023, while another entry-level EV crossover will be added to the Lincoln range in 2025.
Lynk & Co 03+ Cyan Edition Is A Sport Sedan With WTCC-Inspired Looks
With three titles in the WTCC from 2019 to 2020, Lynk & Co’s China-only 03+ Cyan Edition has been created to celebrate these achievements. There’s no questioning the race-inspired looks, with an aggressive bodykit and aggressive rear wing — the latter being adjustable. The special edition comes with unique diameter rims shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, Akebono brakes, and adjustable Bilstein dampers. It features a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine producing 261 hp (195 kW / 265 PS) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.7 seconds.
Toyota was forced to halt operations of its e-Palette autonomous Olympic shuttles after one struck a visually impaired pedestrian in the Athlete’s Village at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic games. Now though, the running of the shuttles will resume, with three changes made to the e-Palette, as well as a few other infrastructure changes that it believes will make it safer.
Tesla Model 3 With Autopilot Enabled Slams Into Florida Police Cruiser
A police cruiser in Orlando, Florida has been badly damaged after a 2019 Tesla Model 3 with its Autopilot system enabled crashed into it. It’s yet another incident involving an emergency vehicle, a spate of which has prompted safety regulators in the United States to open a formal investigation into Tesla’s Autopilot driver assistance.

China Cuts Children’s Online Gaming To One On Fridays And Weekends
Chinese Authorities have announced that children under the age of 18 will be restricted to playing just one hour of video games, between 8 pm and 9 pm on Fridays, Weekends, and holidays, says the BBC. It comes as one state media outlet branded computer games as “Spiritual Opium”
