The Porsche Carrera GT is widely regarded as one of the greatest supercars ever produced and this is starting to be reflected in the prices of used examples.
For the last few years, most used Carrera GT models have been trading hands for around $700,000 to $800,000 in the United States but at a recent Monterey 2021 auction, a pristine example with 3,570 miles on the clock sold for a staggering $1.21 million. Fast forward a couple of weeks and yet another Carrera GT has hit the market and with 11 days left in the online auction, bidding had already reached $1 million.

This particular Carrera GT is finished in GT Silver Metallic, a shade synonymous with the car. It was delivered to its first owner in New York and remained in their hands for 16 years before being purchased by the seller last year. It has 2,700 miles on the clock and is being sold on Bring a Trailer with a matching luggage set, service records from the last nine years, a window sticker, owner’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title.
Matching the flawless paintwork are forged magnesium wheels that were wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in late 2020. Last year, a $50,000 service was also performed at Trophy Performance in Las Vegas that included the replacement of the fuel tank, battery, and V-belts. The clutch, release module, and rear main seal were also replaced in 2015, less than 100 miles ago.
The interior has been beautifully trimmed in Ascot Brown and black leather. Found within are a host of magnesium and carbon fiber accents, as well as the iconic beechwood shift knob.
