Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s RTR Vehicles has just announced its latest collaboration with Ford that will see it launch the new 2021 Mustang RTR Series 1, which will be capped to just 500 units.
The Series 1 Mustang from RTR is a dealer-installed package that can be ordered with any EcoBoost Premium or GT model. The upgrades are primarily visual in nature but there are a handful of performance upgrades.
Starting with the visuals, RTR has developed a new grille for the Mustang, complete with LED daytime running lights, a new chin spoiler, unique rocker panels, rear-quarter splitters, diffuser, a gurney flap for the rear wing, RTR badges, and new puddle lights. The ‘Stang is also wearing 19×9.5 front and 19×10 Ford Performance wheels with RTR center caps.

In terms of performance upgrades, the RTR Series 1 package includes an aluminum strut tower brace. In addition, Ford Performance will install its Track Handling Pack on models without the MagneRide suspension system while models equipped with the MagneRide benefit from the Ford Performance MagneRide Suspension Kit.
Further alterations have been made in the cabin of the Mustang. These include embroidered floor mats, a serialized dashboard plaque, serialized side sills, and an RTR shift knob. Buyers also get a serialized key chain and a certificate of authenticity with their VIN.
The package costs $6,296 from a Ford dealer while installation costs a further $1,200. For those wanting more, RTR also offers Spec 1, Spec 2, and Spec 3 packages for the 2021 Mustang that include significantly more upgrades, including a supercharger.
