The Lynk & Co lineup continues to grow as spy photographers have snapped photos of what is believed to be the 04 Hatchback.

Designed to compete with the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf, the 04 is a compact hatchback which promises to be more practical than the upcoming 03 sedan.

The prototype is heavily camouflaged but the model appears to be influenced by the 03 as it features a similar front fascia. However, the car adopts short rear doors, a prominent hatchback, and a dual exhaust system.

Little is known about the model but the car will ride on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) which underpins the Lynk & Co 01 as well as the Volvo XC40. As a result, the 04 will likely be offered with a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine as well as a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. We can also expect a plug-in hybrid variant as well as a pure electric vehicle.

There’s no word on when the 04 will be launched but Lynk & Co recently announced plans to introduce two new models every year until 2020. This suggests we can expect the production version in the next year or two.
