Blacked-out components include the 19-inch Ebony aluminum wheels, the pony badges, and the mirror caps. These are combined with a performance rear wing and LED taillights borrowed from the Mustang Ice White Edition.
The color palette includes Atlas Blue, Carbonized Gray, Dark Matter, and Shadow Black. Inside the Stealth Edition gets a matte and gloss black instrument panel badge plus lighted sill plates.
Moving on to the California Special, for the first time it is available with the GT Performance Package. This one is based on the Mustang GT Premium with the 5.0-liter V8 engine, available both in fastback and convertible guise.
Visually, the California Special Appearance Package includes a blacked-out honeycomb grille with red badging, side racing stripes, GT/CS stickers, a decorative rear fender scoop, a unique set of five-spoke 19-inch wheels, a rear spoiler (not in the convertible), plus an Ebony Black/Race Red California Special badge in the trunk. All these can be combined with Atlas Blue, Carbonized Gray, Cyber Orange, Dark Matter, Grabber Blue Metallic, Iconic Silver, Rapid Red, Shadow Black, and Oxford White exterior colors.
The GT Performance package adds a larger front splitter and of course a sportier suspension setup. This includes a lowered suspension with heavy-duty front springs, larger tubular rear sway bar, K-Brace strut tower brace, V-Brace front subframe, Torsen limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes with six-piston calipers at the front, a recalibrated ESC and power steering, plus a set of wider Pirelli tires.
Inside we find black Miko suede trim on the doors and on the seats which have embossed GT/CS logos and red stitching. The logo is also present on the floor mats and the passenger side of the dashboard, plus there is a carbon hex aluminum instrument panel.
