Ford only built 45 examples of the GT MK II and one of them recently hit the used car market in a Collecting Cars auction. Surprisingly, it failed to sell.
The GT MK II in question is a 2021 model and is painted in a simple shade of white complete with a host of aerodynamic components finished in carbon fiber. It might not be as as the baby blue GT MK II that sold at an auction earlier in the year for nearly $1.9 million, but it has only ever been driven 26 miles and has never foot on a racetrack.

As a reminder, Ford introduced the MK II as the ultimate track-only variant of the road-going GT supercar. It is the closest thing Ford customers can get to the Le Mans-winning GT GTE racer and sheds more than 200 lbs compared to the road car. Some of the weight loss was achieved thanks to the removal of the street model’s adjustable ride height suspension and the fitment of five-way adjustable Multimatic DSSV shock absorbers.
Elsewhere, the GT MK II comes equipped with a host of aerodynamic upgrades, including a fixed rear wing, front splitter, canards, fender louvers, and a pronounced rear diffuser. It also sits on unique forged aluminum 19-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport GT slicks. Braking is provided by 15.5-inch carbon ceramic discs at the front and 14.1-inch carbon ceramic discs in the rear.
The Ford GT MK II was offered to select customers for $1.2 million when it was new and according to Road & Track, bidding on this example hit $1.233 million. However, the car wasn’t sold, likely because it didn’t hit the seller’s reserve price.
