The McLaren 765LT is one of the most powerful and fastest supercars on the market, yet for those on the hunt for even more power, the tuning specialists over at Novitec have the answer.

The stock 765LT pumps out 754 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque from its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8. Novitec has developed a new plug and play N-Tronic control unit that works alongside the factory ECU to control the ignition and injection. It also modifies the electronic boost pressure control, increasing output to 843 hp at 7,400 rpm and 662 lb-ft (898 Nm) of torque.

As if that wasn’t enough, Novitec can also fit a high-performance exhaust made from lightweight Inconel and complete with ceramic-coated turbo inlet pipes. This exhaust is lighter than the car’s standard titanium system and when coupled with the engine tune, allows the mid-engined supercar to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds, 124 mph (200 km/h) in 6.5 seconds, and a top speed exceeding 205 mph (330 km/h).

Most of us will never have the opportunity to drive a standard 765LT, let alone one tuned by Novitec. Fortunately, a brand ambassador for the tuner recently headed to the German autobahn with a head-mounted camera, allowing him to capture a POV drive from behind the wheel of the car.

The way this modified 765LT picks up speed is simply remarkable. At one stage, it is shown accelerating from 60 km/h (37 mph) to 241 km/h (150 mph) in roughly 8 seconds and breezes past 250 km/h (155 mph) without breaking a sweat.
