The Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 has entered its third generation with the release of the heavily modified pickup based on the new 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor.

The tuning company is working on upgrading the truck’s twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 through the fitment of an upgraded air induction system, high capacity intercooler system with a blow-off valve, and an upgraded engine management system. Hennessey will also equip the F-150 with new intercooler piping, allowing the truck to churn out no less than 600 hp at 6,000 rpm and 622 lb-ft (843 Nm) of torque at 4,000 rpm.

Hennessey is targeting a 0-60 mph (96 km/h) time of 4.2 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 12.9 seconds at 110 mph (177 km/h), performance figures very similar to the Ram 1500 TRX.

Various other upgrades will be available to customers. For example, Hennessey has developed new front and rear bumpers with integrated LED lights, bespoke 20-inch wheels with 37-inch off-road tires, a suspension leveling kit and custom badging. Customers can also have their trucks equipped with large six-piston Brembo front brake calipers.

“The VelociRaptor has been a cornerstone of our production for years with our customers queuing up for the truck’s surprisingly nimble handling, great practicality… and of course, the horsepower!” John Hennessey said in a statement. “The popularity of this truck gave the opportunity to create a family of VelociRaptors including the SUV, 6×6, V8, and Bronco variants going to customers across the country and around the world.”

Prices for the 2021 Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 start at $85,950, including the stock F-150 Raptor. However, Hennessey says most customers will typically spend around $110,000. Order books are currently open and the first deliveries will start in early 2022.
