The Mazda CX-3 range in Japan has just grown with a new variant dubbed the Super Edgy.

A handful of unique features differentiate the CX-3 Super Edgy from other models available in the Japanese market. For example, it comes standard with a two-tone paint finish that combines a shade named Platinum Quartz Metallic with gloss black across the wheel arches, side skirts, wing mirrors, pillars, and roof. Three other colors are also offered.

The unique features continue into the cabin of the CX-3. For example, the sides of the front seats, rear seats, door panels, and lower half of the dashboard are finished in plush white leather, while the rest of the crossover’s interior surfaces are wrapped in black leather. Catching the eye are a handful of copper-finish accents, including the air vent surrounds, contrast stitching, and piping in the center of the seats, while suede-like elements are found in the center of the seats.

Like other variants of the CX-3 sold in Japan, the Super Edgy can be optioned with Qi wireless charging and also comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay. Mazda has also enlarged the infotainment display from 7 to 8 inches.

Japanese customers can purchase the CX-3 Super Edgy in petrol and diesel guises. Prices for the petrol model start at 2,491,500 yen ($21,865) for the front-wheel drive model and 2,733,500 yen ($23,988) for the four-wheel drive. Meanwhile, prices for the front-wheel drive diesel variant start at 2,970,000 yen ($26,064) while the diesel four-wheel drive tops out the range at 3,212,000 yen ($28,188).
