Polestar and Electrify America today announced that owners of the Polestar 2 will get no-cost 30-minute charging sessions for two years after their initial purchase. The new bonus will be available to all new and existing owners.
“We are thrilled to announce this offer for current and future Polestar 2 owners, streamlining the EV ownership experience for our customers,” said Gregor Hembrough, Head of Polestar North America. “Polestar is working continuously to provide them with substantial new benefits throughout their vehicle ownership journey, and this offer takes the stress and costs out of charging your Polestar 2.”
The charging benefit will be offered through Electrify America and users can search for the company’s charging stations through its proprietary app. Newly updated, it allows drivers to choose a “one stop” option for their convenience and will also allow them a contactless payment option.

Polestar also recently announced that its vehicles will get an over-the-air update that includes a Range Assistant app. The app will allow drivers to keep track of their range and help them optimize their driving (and their air conditioning use) to eke out as many miles as possible.
Prices for the Polestar 2 start at $47,200, for which you get a 78 kWh battery pack which provides a 265-miles (426 km) range and a single motor that delivers 231 hp and 248 lb-ft (336 Nm) of torque.
