Tesla Introduces Full-Self Driving Beta 10.3.1 After Weekend Hiccups
With the FSD Beta 10.3 experiencing issues, Tesla briefly rolled back those in the program to the 10.2 version of the self-driving software. Reuters reports that Tesla owners who briefly tested Beta 10.3 found that it routinely provided Forward Collision Warnings unnecessarily. But on Monday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that FSD Beta 10.3.1 was rolling out, which would rectify the issues of the previous build.

The brand-new Corvette C8 Z06 was revealed yesterday, with an impressive number of headline features that improve track performance while adding a dollop of both power and desirability. The naturally-aspirated 670 HP all-aluminum engine is a double-overhead-cam V8 that shuns forced induction for a more responsive and lightweight crankshaft design and relatively short stroke. It gets a dry-sump and has been tested on various race tracks across the world.

While Land Rover will argue that this is an all-new design, with new headlights, a shallower grille, and a simpler, rectangular lower air intake at the base of the bumper, you’d have to know what you were looking for to distinguish new from old in profile. The rear of the new Range Rover is quite interesting indeed, but it’s underneath the skin that features the most changes. The 2022 Range Rover rides on a new platform that will allow it to be powered by ICE, PHEV, and EV powertrains. There’s also a V8 option from BMW, while the Ingenium line of engines will continue to provide service as well.
Marcello Gandini, the designer of the original Lamborghini Countach, has spoken out against the new Countach LPI 800-4, claiming that it “does not reflect his spirit and his vision.” Gandini says that he was unaware that the scale model presented within a promotional video was the design basis for a production car.
SPI Energy’s EdisonFuture Debuts EF1-T All-Electric Pickup Truck
The latest entrant to the EV pickup space is EdisonFuture, with their EFT-1. Although no tech specs have been announced, EdisonFuture says the EF1-T will be offered in three guises: Standard, Premium, and Super. The EF1-T Standard will have a single electric motor and hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 6.5 seconds, while the Premium will have dual motors and hit 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Meanwhile, the flagship Super will be offered with a tri-motor configuration and hit 60 mph in around 3.9 seconds.
The 990S trim will lower the weight of the already lightweight MX-5 Miata to just 990 kg. It’s a Japan-only edition, with nearly every frill removed, including ditching the sound deadening, shaving weight from the hood, and installing lighter Brembo brakes. The car also has a new “Vehicle Attitude Stabilization Control” designed to control lean in corners by applying brake pressure to the rear inner wheel when it senses over 0.3 G of cornering force.
