Team Vesco’s “Little Giant” has upped the ante in the high-speed EV scene, setting a National Electric E3 record by achieving a top speed of 357 mph (574. km/h) and an average speed of 353 mph (568 km/h) at Bonneville Salt Flats on Friday, the 1st of October. The beastly machine powered by 1,152 lithium-ion batteries along with a pair of heavily modified Tesla motors had Eric Ritter behind the wheel. He described it as “a monster” and went on to say that achieving the 400mph (643.7 km/h) goal is no longer a dream.

New Audi A8 L Horch Founders Edition Unveiled In China To Rival Maybach, Won’t Be Sold In U.S.

Audi looks as if it wants to take the fight to Mercedes’ Maybach sub-brand, as they introduce the Horch, a super-luxury edition of the Audi A8. Unfortunately, there are no plans to bring it to the U.S., but you can always wait for the 2022MY A8, which the Horch previews. The car will feature a 130mm extension to its wheelbase, top-of-the-line infotainment systems for both front and rear passengers, and is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 producing 335hp.

2022 Lexus LS 500 Gains More Features With A $76k Starting Price

With competition in the flagship sedan segment at an all-time high with Audi’s limited edition Horch and BMW about to drop the new 7-series, Lexus is hitting back with the 2022 LS that has received a handful of updates. Almost all of the new features have been limited to the cabin of the vehicle. They include a special ‘Haku interior’ that will be offered for Luxury and Executive models, an improved, 23-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, as well as the new standard Lexus Saftey System and 2.5 suite of driver assistance systems. VW has released a short video revealing the silhouette of their upcoming EV. The company also confirmed that the ID.5 would be equipped with a “large lithium-ion battery,” giving it a range of 309 miles (497 km) and is expected to mimic similar performance levels as the ID.4 GTX. But for further details, we’ll have to wait for the November 3rd reveal of the crossover coupe.

Spanish-based company Silence introduced their first-ever fully electric quadricycle. Being just 2.33m (91.7 inches) long, the S04 is super compact, ideal for city driving, and comes with the added advantage of having a removable battery that can be exchanged with a fully-charged battery at any of Silence’s battery exchange stations with a monthly subscription. The S04 will be offered in two versions. A light L6e quadricycle with a 5.6kWh battery and a top speed of 45 km/h (28 mph), the other, an L7e heavy quadricycle able to reach 90 km/h (56 mph) thanks to its dual battery with a combined power output of 11.2 kWh.
