Hennessey is known for taking some of the wildest vehicle on sale and making them even wilder, but it’s not like you see one every day. Enter this Hennessey VelociRaptor, a bolder take on the second-gen Ford Raptor that’s up for auction on Cars & Bids.
The truck started life as a 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor, after which it got an exterior overhaul comprising of new bumpers, lights, and Hennessey badging. It also received a beefier stance courtesy of a set of Hennessey‘s own 20-inch wheels mounted on Toyo 35-inch tires, all bolstered by a 3-inch lift.

The Texas-based tuner didn’t touch much on the interior aside from some embroidering and a numbered plaque (this particular truck is designated as VelociRaptor number 32), but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It still features plenty of amenities such as a heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, a twin-panel sunroof, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system.

Probably the most interesting thing about the VelociRaptor, though, is that it manages to address one of the biggest complaints about the second-gen Raptor, especially compared to the Ram 1500 TRX: its power. Rather than a turboharged V6, it uses a modified version of the same Coyote V8 found in the Mustang, and it makes a whopping 758 hp (769 PS / 565 kW) compared to the V6’s not-too-shabby 450 hp (456 PS / 336 kW) thanks to a 2.9L Whipple supercharger, a high-flow air induction system, an air-to-water intercooler, an upgraded fuel system, and HPE engine management calibration. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
This one-owner VelociRaptor has 10,800 miles on its odo and with two days remaining in the auction at the time of writing, the highest bid was $77,200.
