Audi recently lifted the covers on the facelifted 2022 A8 and Autogefuhl has already had the opportunity to check it out in person.
The 2022 A8 is based around the fourth-generation model that has been around since 2017 and will remain on the market until the next-generation model arrives in 2024 as an EV. It will be offered in standard- and long-wheelbase forms in select markets, with the regular model measuring 5.19 meters (204.3 inches) while the A8 L sits at 5.32 meters (209.5 inches). China will also get the even longer A8 L Horch that is 5.45 meters (214.6 inches).

The example featured in this video from Autogefühl is the A8 L and has been fully loaded, making it one of the most luxurious vehicles on the market. Among the key features found in the cabin include a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster, 8.6-inch infotainment screen, and a Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System with a 1,920-watt amplifier and no less than 23 speakers.
The review spends quite a lot of time focused on the rear-seat passenger experience. Like many other executive sedans, passenger-side rear seat occupants can move the front passenger seat forward and stretch out their legs. What’s particularly interesting is the fact that the back of the front passenger seat has a pad where you can rest your feet that offers both heating and massage functions. Rear-seat passengers can even select between three different shoe sizes to adjust just how much of the massaging pad is actually activated.
Sales of the 2022 Audi A8 will begin across Europe in December before it arrives in other markets, such as the U.S., China, Canada, and South Korea, in early 2022.
