Last year, YouTuber Daily Driven Exotics took a Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder and removed the windshield, creating a Speedster or ‘Aperta’ variant of the mid-engined supercar.
The idea of taking a perfectly good Lamborghini and chopping off the windshield and A-pillars may seem like a crazy idea, and to most, it is a crazy idea. Evidently, Damon Fryer from Daily Driven Exotics doesn’t think like most people and knowing that Lamborghini itself wasn’t going to make an Aperta version of the Huracan, made his own, taking inspiration from the likes of the 2006 Concept S and one-off Aventador J.

A number of other modifications have been made to this Huracan. For example, it features a bodykit from Vorsteiner that comes complete with heaps of forged carbon fiber panels. It also has a special Fi exhaust system that lets the 5.2-liter V10 engine really sing.
Speaking of the 5.2-liter V10, it has been given some extra oomph thanks to a supercharger, meaning it now delivers 840 hp. Fryer also isn’t afraid of pushing the car to its limits, as he demonstrated when he recently brought it out to Hoonigan’s drift yard in Los Angeles. Unlike most other Huracans, this one sends its power exclusively through the rear wheels, meaning it doubles as quite a good drift car.
