An absolutely wild Lamborghini Gallardo was recently displayed at SEMA and making it all the more remarkable is that it isn’t powered by the stock V10 engine.
This particular Gallardo has been brought to life by Street Aero and has been owned by the tuner for approximately 18 months. It started out life just like any other but had its 5.0-liter V10 removed and replaced with a Toyota 2JZ twin-turbo inline-six. This engine has been extensively modified and now features a single massive turbocharger that allows it to pump out over 1,000 hp.

However, the fitment of the 2JZ isn’t the only significant change made to this Gallardo. Complementing the engine is a completely bespoke titanium exhaust system that exits directly out from the rear of the turbocharger. The engine also has a rolling anti-lag feature.
Elsewhere, Street Aero designed a bespoke aero package for the vehicle’s rear end that includes a towering wing, a big diffuser and X-shaped fins that will soon house LEDs in a design similar to the Bugatti Bolide. The car also features a unique carbon fiber front fascia with an aggressive hood, bumper, and splitter package.
One of the most impressive things about this build is that the Italian supercar also features a custom-made pushrod suspension system. We have no idea how well this suspension would work on the street but it certainly looks the part.
