Gran Turismo 7 will offer gamers more scope to customize and tune their vehicles than any previous game in the long-running series.
In a new video presented by Polyphony Digital CEO and Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, we are shown how gamers will be able to personalize their vehicles and how these modifications will impact how each vehicle performs. A Toyota Supra is showcased throughout much of the clip and a dizzying array of parts are available for it, including dozens of different wheel designs and exterior trimmings like rear wings.
Gamers will also be able to head to different tuning shops where various performance parts will be available. These include high lift camshafts, high compression pistons, limited-slip differentials, and sports suspensions.

“In Gran Turismo 7, we’re going to have the most number of parts we’ve ever had available for tuning the cars in the game,” Yamauchi says in the video. “[This] gives players more scope to tune their cars, and to customize them as they see fit.”
Other cars featured in the clip include a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, C4 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, and a Lamborghini Huracan GT3.
Last month, Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed that Gran Turismo 7 will include more than 400 cars. These will come from all different eras and include the likes of the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, 1967 Toyota 2000GT, Mercedes-Benz CLK LM, Pontiac Trans Am, Honda NSX, Jaguar E-Type, and the futuristic Lamborghini V12 Vision Gran Turismo.
