In one fell swoop, Ford has introduced a couple of limited edition Mustangs.

The most notable is the 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition, which pays tribute to the original 1967 Shelby GT500.

Changes are fairly limited as the model features an exclusive Brittany Blue exterior with two different Wimbledon White stripe options. The first has painted racing stripes and a unique GT500 logo, while the other features vinyl racing stripes and side stripes.

Ford will begin accepting orders for the 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 on November 15th and pricing starts at $72,900 before a $1,195 destination fee and a $2,600 gas guzzler tax. The Heritage Edition can be ordered the same day for an additional $2,140. However, the hand-painted stripes will set you back an extra $12,140.

Speaking of the 2022 GT500, Ford confirmed the model will be offered in Code Orange. The color is exclusive to Ford Performance vehicles such as the GT, F-150 Raptor and upcoming Bronco Raptor.

New Coastal Edition Joins The Lineup

Putting the GT500 aside, Ford also introduced the 2022 Mustang Coastal Edition. Based on the Mustang EcoBoost Premium fastback and convertible, the model features a lightly revised exterior with a black grille, a rear spoiler and unique side stripes. The car has also been outfitted with side scoops and 19-inch aluminum wheels with black accents.

Interior changes are minor, but drivers will find illuminated sill plates that say “Coastal Limited.” They’re joined by a special badge on the passenger side dashboard.

The Coastal Edition will be available exclusively in Brittany Blue, Cyber Orange and Rapid Red, and the package costs an additional $1,995. Ford is currently accepting orders and the model is slated to arrive at dealerships next spring.
