Alpha Saga Electric Sedan Debuts With 300 Mile Range And Optional All-Wheel Drive

The Alpha Motor Corporation continues to churn out new products and their latest offering has been unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Dubbed the Saga, the model is essentially a sedan version of the Ace coupe. As a result, it features a familiar design with a sloping roof, prominent shoulder lines, pronounced wheel arches and flush-mounted door handles.

Despite the similarities, there are a number of differences as the Saga has a unique front fascia with quad headlights. The sedan also has chunkier bumpers, circular taillights and a carbon fiber rear spoiler.

In terms of size, the model measures approximately 185 inches (4,700 mm) long, 75 inches (1910 mm) wide and 57 inches (1450 mm) tall. That means the Saga is roughly the same size as the BMW 3-Series, but slightly wider.

Moving into the five-seater cabin, we can see a digital instrument cluster that resides behind a three-spoke steering wheel. The car has also been equipped with a floating infotainment system, heavily bolstered front seats, and what appears to be a retro-inspired audio system.

Performance specifications are “projected estimates,” but the company said the 4,200 lbs (1,905 kg) sedan will be offered with rear- and all-wheel drive. One of the powertrains will enable the sedan to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in approximately six seconds, before hitting a top speed of up to 124 mph (200 km/h). Customers looking for something faster can hold out for a performance variant, which is being developed in collaboration with Rotiform.

The Saga is slated to have an 85 kWh battery pack, which allows for a range of around 300 miles (483 km) on a single charge. When it becomes low, the battery can be given an 80% charge in an hour.

Pricing will start between $40,000 – $50,000 and the company is currently accepting reservations. However, there’s no word on when the model will arrive.
