The teaser campaign for the facelifted Skoda Karoq is entering the homestretch as the company has released a new teaser video of the updated crossover.

Set to debut on November 30th, the facelifted Karoq promises to have a more distinctive appearance thanks to a wider grille that is flanked by “slimmed-down headlights.” That treatment will be echoed out back as the taillights sport a more modern and minimalist aesthetic.

Putting the lighting units aside, the teaser video shows a lightly revised rear bumper and aerodynamic wheels. The company also promised a “technology upgrade” and if the facelifted SEAT Ateca is any indication, the model could be outfitted with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster as well as updated infotainment systems with 8.25- and 9.2-inch displays. We can also expect new and upgraded driver assistance systems.

Engine options remain unconfirmed, but the model is currently offered with a couple of turbocharged petrol engines including a 1.0-liter three-cylinder with 109 hp (81 kW / 110 PS) and a 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS). The crossover can also be outfitted with a 2.0-liter TDI engine that has outputs of 114 hp (85 kW / 116 PS) and 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS).

While Skoda is keeping details under wraps, the Karoq is a big deal for the company as it’s their second best-selling model behind the Octavia. The company sold 82,121 units in Europe last year, but that number was undoubtedly dragged down by the coronavirus pandemic as Skoda sold 105,041 units in 2019.
