The first images have been released of the latest-generation Genesis G90, the flagship luxury sedan from the South Korean automaker.
The car features Genesis’ ‘Athletic Elegance’ design language and comes complete with a large Crest Grille and sleek Two-Line headlight lamps. The front grille has a ‘Layered Architecture’ finish comprised of two G-Matrix patterns layered on top of one another.

Elsewhere, the new Genesis G90 features a clamshell hood that reduces the number of shut lines and further neatens the design. Viewed from the side, a set of twin LED turn signals on the front quarter panels catch your attention, as do the door handles that sit flush with the bodywork. Genesis has also designed a set of new 20-inch wheels for the car and crafted particularly striking C-pillars.
Rounding out the styling modifications is an overhauled rear fascia which, interestingly, doesn’t feature the same Two-Line taillights currently used by other Genesis models. Instead, the G90 features two LED light bars that stretch the entire width of the rear, while also sporting angular main taillight units.
Genesis has not yet released images of the sedan’s interior but says it will be offered in long-wheelbase guise with an expanded wheelbase that is 190 mm (7.5 inches) longer than the standard model, increasing second-row space.
“The G90 will redefine the flagship luxury design experience in a unique way only offered by Genesis,” head of Genesis Global Design SangYup Lee said in a statement. “The G90 is the ultimate expression of Athletic Elegance that carefully balances dynamic driving and an elegant rear seat experience.”
The automaker says the new G90 will launch in the U.S. as a 2023 model and in overseas markets as a 2022 model. We’ll know more about the North American market G90 in the coming weeks.
