You can buy a lot for $400,000, including a Lamborghini Aventador or a rather nice house. Alternatively, you could also spend $400,000 on this, a special restomod 1947 Dodge Power Wagon created by Legacy Classic Trucks.

Legacy has been modifying Power Wagon’s for a number of years now and this particular example is one of its most striking. According to the company, it has been made for modern driving conditions “but still packs that classic Power Wagon punch needed for tackling the toughest of jobs out on the road and beyond.”

Powering the Dodge is a 4BT Cummins diesel engine that has been equipped with compound turbochargers and oversized injectors. It is good for 250 hp and 600 lb-ft (813 Nm) of torque and is coupled to an NV 4500 5-speed manual transmission. Legacy has also equipped the classic Dodge with 14-bolt axles, an ARB air compressor, and two high-powered truck batteries.

Legacy says the Power Wagon can comfortably cruise on highways at 80 mph while also having the grunt needed for industrial-grade hauling and towing.

The exterior of the Dodge remains true to its original self but has been equipped with tow hooks, a winch, and new wheels with off-road tires.

A number of changes have been made to the cabin of the 1947 Power Wagon. For example, all of the switchgear on the dashboard are sealed carline marine rocker switches and everything has been specifically designed to be used while wearing gloves.

“The classic Power Wagons are absolute smile magnets when people see them,” Legacy Classic Trucks founder Winslow Bent describes. “This is the truck that helped build all the bridges, dams, and roads out West that everyone road trips across during the summertime. But the best part about a Legacy Power Wagon is that drivers can enjoy all the awesomeness of a classic restoration without any of the hassles. Our latest Power Wagon build is made in a way that driving this truck on the street, highway, or off-road is no problem at all. This is a truck that can do it all.”
