Set to arrive at Lexus’ U.S. dealers in April, the hybrid version of the three-row Lexus RX has a starting price of $50,620, excluding a $995 destination charge.

The 2018 Lexus RX 450hL undercuts the 350L AWD model by $1,550, and is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline unit and two electric motors that produce a combined 308 horsepower.

Offered in two trim levels, both of them with standard all-wheel drive, the hybrid SUV benefits from a tri-zone climate control system, power-folding third-row seat and second-row captain’s chairs. The leather seats, electrically adjustable steering wheel with memory function, electrically operated side mirrors and a power tailgate, are also standard.

Buyers can spec the 2018 RX 450hL with several optional extras. These include the Luxury Package, which adds 20-inch alloy wheels with selectable color inserts, semi-aniline trimmed seats, Gray Sapele wood trim, LED ambient lighting heated wood steering wheel and rear door sunshades.

The Lexus Safety System+ is offered at no extra cost, bringing Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keep Assist, radar cruise control and Intelligent High Beams.

Other driver assistance equipment, such as the Blind Spot Monitor with Intuitive Parking Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Braking and Panoramic View Monitor are available as well.
