This 1959 Pontiac Bonneville Restomod Is Painted In Porsche’s Riviera Blue

An extensively modified 1959 Pontiac Bonneville coupe will be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson with no reserve at its Scottsdale auction running from January 22-30.

This eye-catching Pontiac was restored and modified by Airpark Motorsports in Scottsdale over a two-year period and is now underpinned by an Art Morrison chassis. As part of the restoration, it was also equipped with rack & pinion power steering, Wilwood disc brakes, a 9-inch rear differential and coilover suspension at all four corners.

One part of the exterior that really stands out is the paint, which just so happens to be Porsche’s famous shade of Riviera Blue, and much to our surprise, it actually suits the Pontiac quite nicely. Also found across the exterior are beautifully restored chrome body panels, including the bumpers and trim around the headlights and windows. The car is also sitting on custom American Racing wheels with a chrome finish and wrapped in BF Goodrich Rival S tires.

A look inside the cabin reveals gorgeous tan leather and four bucket seats. All interior surfaces have been lovingly restored and Airpark Motorsports also equipped it with a Rockford Fosgate sound system, Vintage Air climate control, power windows, and power seats.

Located beneath the hood is a 6.2-liter V8 engine coupled to a 4L70E four-speed automatic transmission sending power through the rear wheels.

While the listing doesn’t provide any details about how much the restoration cost, it obviously wasn’t cheap and we expect the car to sell for deep into the six figures.
