Carvana customers have shared plenty of horror stories over the years, but there’s nothing quite like seeing mishaps in action.
That’s certainly the case here as TikTok user Chris Dankers was excited for his Hyundai Genesis Coupe to be dropped off by the company. Unfortunately for him, Carvana took the dropping off part literally.
As you can see, a Carvana flat bed met Dankers in a parking lot and began unloading the vehicle. While everything appears fine, things quickly take a turn for the worse once the truck’s platform is tilted down.

The car quickly begins rolling backwards and the flummoxed tow truck driver doesn’t know what to do. As a result, the car slides off the back of the truck and slams down onto the platform. The video ends shortly thereafter, but it’s pretty clear that someone forgot to set the parking brake.
While most people would probably refuse the car at this point, Dankers proceeded and recently posted a couple of follow up videos. In those clips, he says the company held onto the coupe for a month to address a number of issues. However, he points out a number of problems with the car and doesn’t seem too happy about his reported $30,000 (£22,323 / €26,490) purchase.
Of course, some issues are to be expected when buying a used car and it’s worth noting the Hyundai Genesis Coupe was discontinued in 2016. That being said, Dankers claimed the car is “dumping coolant” and is leaking water into the trunk. The owner goes onto say he’s working with Carvana and the company has promised to make things right.
