While it’s better to avoid making assumptions about other people’s intentions on the road, some actions are easier to read than others.
For example, whoever was driving this tuned Nissan 350Z was already “unsettled” by the time they went past the dashcam vehicle, so there is little chance that the driver at fault was just minding his or her own business, staying carefully within the speed limit, fully aware of the slippery conditions on the road.
Initially, the Nissan only clips an incoming car, though the sideswiping motion, together with the driver braking was enough to initiate the spin that resulted in the violent impact that ensued. The car it made contact with was launched into the air, while the 350Z spun multiple times before coming to a halt, side airbags deployed and everything.
As stated in the description of the video, the accident involved more than just two cars. The one that was launched upwards following the initial impact also hit another vehicle to its right before coming down.
We just hope that everybody involved came away with non-life threatening injuries, because walking away from something like this completely unscathed is pretty unrealistic.
