The E46 is one of the most acclaimed generations of the BMW M3 and a low-mileage example is currently up for sale and attracting quite a lot of attention.
This particular M3 has been listed up for sale on Bring a Trailer and is being offered with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. It is painted in Imola Red II and with five days left in the auction, bidding was heading towards the $60,000 mark, not far off the $69,900 starting price of a 2022 M3 in the U.S.

Complementing the vibrant paintwork are 19-inch M double-spoke Style 67 wheels wrapped in Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires measuring 225/40 at the front and 255/35 at the rear. The listing notes that the car has a paint protection film and should continue to look fresh for years to come.
Much like the exterior, the interior of this M3 has been well-maintained and almost looks new. Found throughout is Nappa black leather complete with matching carpets and Titan Shadow trim accents. The car also features power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, a BMW Business CD stereo, and a Harman Kardon audio system.
One of the reasons why the E46 M3 is so beloved is its engine and this example has only been driven 1,200 miles (1,931 km). It is equipped with a 3.2-liter naturally aspirated S54 inline-six pumping out 333 hp and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) of torque. Coupled to the engine is a six-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential.
