Toyota’s GR Heritage Parts program has the goal of keeping some of the brand’s most iconic cars on the road by reproducing some of their parts. Now, the company has announced that they will be significantly increasing the number of parts available in the program.

More specifically, there will be 56 new parts available for 2022 across six vehicles: the 40 Series Land Cruiser, the 2000GT, the A70 and A80 Supra, and the AE86 Corolla Levin and Sprinter Trueno.

The Land Cruiser will offer the most spare parts of the bunch with over 30 items, including things like the brake master cylinder and the steering relay rod. The A70 Supra offers 11 different parts (catalyst, parking brake cable, and nine other items), while the A80 Supra only offers two (key/key cylinder and one other item). For the 2000GT, Toyota offers replacement clutch discs, brake hoses, and five other items. Finally, for the AE86 twins, Toyota only offers three replacement parts, but two of them are quite important: the differential final gear kit and the transmission input shaft.

These new parts will begin rolling out on February 1, and Toyota hopes to eventually start selling them from dealerships in the same way you’d buy parts for a newer car. The full list of parts for each vehicle can be found on Toyota’s GR Heritage Parts website.

It’s worth noting that a few other companies offer reproduction parts programs like this as well, such as Honda with the S2000, Porsche with the 959, Mazda with the NA Miata and FC and FD RX-7, and Nissan with the R32, R33, and R34 Skyline GT-R. However, of all the companies to offer these programs, Toyota’s seems to span the widest range of cars, and their commitment to keeping some of their most influential vehicles running is commendable.
