There’s a lot of debate online that Acura has left a lot to be desired with the all-new Integra and this has prompted an online designer to imagine a new Integra of his own.

Whereas the new Integra has distinctive bodywork from the rest of the Acura and Honda families, the revised Integra pictured is based around the current Honda Civic Sedan. That’s certainly no bad thing as we’re quite big fans of the 11th-gen Civic.

Obviously, Sugar Design has drastically altered the design of the Civic by deleting two of the doors and turning it into a sleek Coupe. The new Integra is a four-door but its most iconic predecessors had two doors so this design goes back to the sports car’s routes.

The new-age Integra has also been designed in a hypothetical Type R guise. Catching the eye is the bright yellow paint scheme, slightly different from the yellow available on the 2023 Integra. The car also sports revised and slightly slimmer and sharp headlights while also rocking a pair of white wheels. Found at the rear of the car are a lip spoiler on the trunk lid and a large rear wing. Dual tailpipes and a pronounced diffuser are also visible.

Sugar Design has also imagined the new Integra Type R in a shade of Championship White but that earlier design was a little more overt than the yellow car. For example, the rear wing is more complex and very similar to the wing of the outgoing FK8-generation Civic Type R. The white car has also been rendered with a small spoiler incorporated into the roof, has a slightly shorter wheelbase, and sits on a set of larger wheels.

It remains to be seen if Acura will introduce a high-performance Type S version of the 2023 Integra but if it wants to win over Honda and Acura enthusiasts, doing so could be a smart move.
