Roush Performance has announced its 2022 Ranger with a $13,250 base price and a full warranty. It gets a Roush suspension, Roush wheels, and a Roush cat-back exhaust system. The one thing that it doesn’t get is any more horsepower or torque over the stock vehicle.
That’s not to say that it’s simply an appearance package with a fancy off-road suspension system. Roush adds 32-inch General Grabber A/TX all-terrain tires to its custom wheels and it doesn’t stop there. A Roush branded grille gets installed and features a pair of LED light bars which are all the rage right now.
The performance company also adds premium leather upholstery, painted fender flares with integrated lighting, and fender heat extractors. Roush also includes a bevy of unique features with each Ranger including a serialized interior badge, branded Weathertech floor liners, and a Roush gauge cluster.

Buyers can also add an off-road utility kit, vaults in both the center console and rear seat area, as well as graphic packages. All modifications are covered with a three-year or 36,000-mile limited warranty and buyers can order the truck directly through Ford dealers. Of course, the $13,250 base price is above the original price of the truck itself.
Every Roush Ranger starts out as a Ranger XLT with the 301A or 302A equipment package. That truck is priced at an MSRP of $32,015 so the grand total would be around $45,000. To us, that’s a lot of cash for a truck that makes 270-horsepower.
Minor power gains, like really minor – for now
Roush does say that its special cat-back exhaust system ” increases horsepower and torque while providing an aggressive exhaust note” but specifically states that the truck makes 270-horsepower on its home page. We’ve reached out to Roush for clarification and here’s what they said.
“The cat-back exhaust does add minimal horsepower (6 HP, +8 TQ), but the real power adder is ROUSH’s Performance Pac, which includes a tune, cold-air intake, and exhaust. The Performance Pac for the 2022 model is being finalized, but last year’s version added 47 rear wheel horsepower.”
Regardless of power output, there’s no doubt that the Roush Ranger will stand out more than its stock counterpart. Nine different paint options are available for 2022 but we especially like this Cyber Orange version seen here.
What do you think of the new Roush Ranger? Maybe this is just the right amount of useful modification at a modest enough price for most. It might not be the fire-breathing descendant of past Roush Mustangs but it does offer a unique feature package and a well-known name for the price.
