Mulliner presented its latest creation, a bespoke Bentayga Speed commissioned by Bentley Orlando in Florida for one of its customers. The Bentayga Speed Space Edition is inspired by outer space with unique styling touches inside-out and is one of the 100 individual requests completed by Mulliner in the first quarter of 2022, showing the popularity of personalization among buyers of luxury automobiles.
Starting with the exterior design, the space-themed Bentayga Speed features a Cypress paint with Orange Flame accents on the lower part of the body. The dark metallic gray shade with subtle green undertones was inspired by the debut of the first-gen Continental GT back in 2003, while the orange is reminiscent of comet dust trails. The Blackline Specification was selected for the model, replacing the chrome elements with gloss black ones.

Inside the cabin, you are greeted by illuminated treadplates with simple graphics resembling planets orbiting a solar system. The most striking feature is the orange accents on the dashboard, steering wheel, and gear knob, along with orange piping on the seats and door cards.
Those are contrasting the Galaxy Stone inserts that look like they come from the surface of another planet, and the dark Beluga / Porpoise upholstery resembling the night sky. Another cool detail is the satin black speaker grilles of the Naim for Bentley sound system.

The bespoke edition is based on the Bentayga Speed which means it comes fitted with the most powerful twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine producing 626 hp (467 kW / 635 PS) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque, allowing a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 306 km/h (190 mph).
While the Bentayga Speed is no longer the fastest SUV in the world since the Aston Martin DBX707 raised the bar to 310 km/h (193 mph), it is still quite impressive when it comes to combining performance with luxury. Power is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox, while the SUV comes standard with air suspension and the Bentley Dynamic Ride active roll control technology.
Between 2016 and 2022, Bentley has sold 28,500 Bentaygas, making it the most successful model in its history. Bentley Orlando didn’t unveil pricing for the bespoke space-themed model which will definitely come at a hefty premium over the Bentayga Speed’s $250k starting price.
