The United States Postal Service is forging ahead with the controversial Next-Generation Delivery Vehicle, but they’re in the news today for auctioning a 2018 Bentley Bentayga.
Seized by the United States Postal Inspection Service as part of a civil forfeiture, the Bentayga is certainly no Grumman LLV despite featuring a white exterior.
That’s certainly the case in the cabin as the crossover features two-tone leather as well as wood trim. There are also countless other amenities including heated / ventilated seats, an 8-inch infotainment system, and air conditioning which Postal Service employees are undoubtedly jealous of.

While the auction listing is light on specifics, the Bentayga is “fully operational” and has only traveled 17,155 miles (27,608 km). The vehicle also comes equipped with a twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine that produces 600 hp (447 kW / 608 PS) and 664 lb-ft (899 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to an all-wheel drive system.
Interestingly, the Bentayga has a fuel economy rating of 12 mpg city, 19 mpg highway and 15 mpg combined. Those numbers aren’t great, but the Next-Generation Delivery Vehicle gets 14.7 mpg and a dismal 8.6 mpg when the air conditioner is running.
The auction ends on March 24th and bidding started at $25,000. However, it’s already jumped to $107,500 as of this writing.
