Only a handful of 2022 GMC Hummer EV models have been delivered to customers since the first unit rolled off the production line in late December. This week, one of those Hummer EVs will be sold by Mecum Auctions at its Glendale event.
As one of the first Hummer EV models delivered, this car is the limited Edition 1 variant. Those who secured a reservation for the car from the factory have had to part ways with $110,295, a lot of money for a vehicle from GMC. However, given the demand for the electric pickup, we suspect this example will sell for much more than that.

The listing reveals that this Hummer EV Edition 1 has been driven just 400 miles (643 km) since it left GM’s factory and as you would imagine, it shows no signs of wear and tear.
Found beneath the brash bodywork of the pickup is an electric powertrain with no less than three motors and a massive 200 kWh battery pack. This powertrain is good for 1,000 hp and the truck can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.0 seconds with the ‘Watts to Freedom’ launch control system enabled.
It’s not just the power and performance that distinguishes the Hummer EV from other GM models but also the fact that its four-wheel steering system provides it with a turning circle of just 37.1 feet (11.3 meters). There is also an intriguing Crab Walk feature that the automaker has been keen to promote in recent months.
Reservations for the GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 are closed with just 1,200 units bound for the production line. Like all others, this one is bathed in Intersteller White and sits on a set of black and silver wheels with off-road tires. Found in the cabin is a combination of Jet Black and Gray leather, complete with various matte bronze accents.
