Is This Widebody C8 Corvette Worth Twice As Much As A 2023 Z06?

The C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray could be considered as the supercar of the people thanks largely to its relatively affordable starting price. However, whereas a new ‘Vette starts at a touch over $60,000, this eye-catching unit has an asking price of more than triple that. A supercar of the people no more.

This particular ‘Vette was recently listed up for sale on the C8 Corvette page on Facebook by Wendy Sigala who is behind Sigala Designs, a Californian company that triggered headlines last year when it released its widebody kit for the C8.

Making the car stand out is the complete 32-piece widebody kit from Sigala Designs. This kit includes a dizzying array of parts made from carbon fiber, including a new front splitter, flared wheel arches, diffuser, rear bumper extensions, side rocker extensions, side air intakes, engine cover vents, and new quarter panels.

A number of other upgrades have been made to the car. These include the fitment of two-piece forged aluminum wheels measuring 20×11 inches at the front and 21×12 inches at the rear and wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. There is also a Sigala Designs stainless steel exhaust system and adjustable coilovers.

Then there is the price: $185,000. That is an extraordinary sum, particularly given that the car has been driven 8,100 miles (13,035 km). It is so pricey in fact that it is roughly double the ~$90,000 expected price of the 2023 Corvette Z06. Making that price tag all the more shocking is the fact that the Sigala Designs complete bodykit is only supposed to cost $14,995 when made from fiberglass or $24,995 with carbon fiber.

Unsurprisingly, many enthusiasts on the C8 Corvette page haven’t taken too kindly to the car, with one individual who has a Z06 on order saying it looks like a “matchbox toy.” Nevertheless, a comment from the seller suggests the car was quickly sold for $180,000.
