Just when you thought the Aznom Palladium couldn’t get any more ridiculous, the small Italian coachbuilder has created a special one-off variant with a distinct powertrain.
All Palladium models are based on the Ram 1500 and ordinarily, are powered by a modified 5.7-liter V8 tuned to deliver 700 hp and 701 lb-ft (950 Nm) of torque. That’s enough grunt to send the massive SUV to 62 mph (100 km/h) in around 4.5 seconds and a 130 mph (210 km/h) top speed. For one buyer, this wasn’t enough, so they commissioned Aznom to fit their car with an upgraded 6.4-liter Hemi V8.

This isn’t just any 6.4-liter Hemi V8 either and it has been supplemented by a pair of turbochargers, allowing it to churn out 850 hp and 774 lb-ft (1,050 Nm) of torque. Like the 700 hp model, this engine is coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. Aznom hasn’t said how quickly the 850hp model can reach 62 mph but it’s probably in the low 4-second range. What we do know is that the top speed has jumped to 155 mph (250 km/h).
The twin-turbocharged 6.4-liter Hemi V8 also features cylinder deactivation technology where a whole bank of cylinders can be shut off, air-to-water intercoolers, forged pistons, steel H-beam condors, reinforced nimonic valve springs, rebalanced camshaft and driveshaft, upgraded fuel injectors, and a bespoke head gasket.
It is understood that Aznom will build just 10 examples of the Palladium and this will be the only one with the twin-turbo 6.4-liter Hemi V8. As you would imagine, the car isn’t what you could describe as cheap. In fact, you’ll need at least $1.5 million to buy one.
