Many view the E46-generation BMW M3 as the ultimate version of the quintessential M car and this example is particularly stunning.
Listed up for auction through Bring a Trailer, this E46 M3 is a 2004 model that has only been driven ~33,000 miles (~53,100 km). Making it even more desirable is the fact that it is finished in Laguna Seca Blue, one of the most eye-catching colors available for the M3.

Contrasting the gorgeous paint color are the standard 18-inch M double-spoke wheels finished in silver. The seller has also equipped the car with an M3 CSL-inspired carbon fiber trunk lid with an integrated lip spoiler to make it stand out even further. In addition, a paint protection film has been applied to the front bumper cover and rocker panels while the factory trunk lip and a spare trunk lid liner are also included in the sale. Wrapped around the 18-inch wheels are Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires measuring 225/45 at the front and 255/40 at the rear.
The cabin of the car is clad in gray Nappa leather with Titan Shadow accents across the top half of the dashboard and center console. Among the key features are automatic climate control, a Harman Kardon audio system, and cruise control. The interior looks to be in excellent condition, although the listing notes some wear on the center console and sagging of the fabric on one of the pillars.
This E46 M3 left the factory with a 3.2-liter naturally aspirated inline-six coupled to the much-maligned SMG transmission. However, in September 2021, the seller sent the car to Performance Technic in Fremont, California where the SMG was swapped out in favor of a six-speed manual. The engine also received a service at the same time that included the resealing of the VANOS system, replacing the rod bearings and engine mounts, and the installation of a Beisan anti-rattle kit.
