Speed bumps are designed to slow you down but this particular driver either didn’t see a pair of them or thought it would be fun to turn them into jumps.

Limited details about this incident are known, including just where and when it occurred. With that being said, the presence of a Mitsubishi Triton, also known as the L200 in some markets, means the crash didn’t occur in the U.S. or Canada.

Regardless, CCTV footage of the incident is both terrifying and humorous. The car in question can be seen coming into frame from the far right of the video and appears to fly over a speed bump placed just ahead of a pedestrian crossing. The driver then continues to hit the throttle and as soon as the car lands back on its wheels, it hits a second speed bump, this time launching even higher into the air and smashing into the rear of the Mitsubishi.

It’s hard to imagine a scenario where the driver of the unidentified car was in complete control of the car at the time of the crash. It would seem more likely that they were driving under the influence at the time or suffered some kind of medical episode and inadvertently stamped on the throttle.

Whatever the explanation, the front end of the car takes a serious hit and suffered a lot of damage. Similarly, the rear-end of the Triton appears to have been completely destroyed in the crash and could be difficult and or extremely expensive to repair.
