Mercedes-AMG has published a couple of new teasers for the upcoming Vision AMG Concept as we move closer to its debut on May 19. The new shots reveal more of the EV’s surfacing and aerodynamic curves, as well as its special livery.

The Vision AMG concept was announced a few weeks ago with a teaser sketch revealing nothing but its silhouette. The new teasers were published on social media by Mercedes-AMG and design chief Gorden Wagener alongside remarks for the all-electric future of AMG. The close-up shots of the pronounced rear shoulders and the A-pillar reveal part of the raked windshield, a mirror-replacing camera, a futuristic body-colored side window with dots, and a special star-themed livery highlighting the sculpted bodywork.

The long tail of the Vision AMG appears to have a visual connection with the Vision EQXX although the AMG branding promises an increased power output. Mind you, the Affalterbach-based company is already making AMG-specific electric motors for the production-spec Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+, producing up to 751 hp (560 kW / 761 PS).

It will be interesting to see Mercedes’ take on the future of sportscars in the electric era, combining advanced aerodynamics, weight-saving measures, and a potent powertrain. We will learn more on May 19, although we wouldn’t be surprised if AMG drops more teasers of the concept prior to that date.
