By now, everyone’s aware of Singer Vehicle Design, the prestigious Porsche restomodders, but they are far from the only name in the business. Another company, Paul Stephens, offers a similar sort of product to Singer that’s much easier on the wallet, and they’ve been doing it longer.
While a Singer Porsche can cost upwards of $1 million, potentially even more, something like this Paul Stephens Clubsport 320 sold for just ₤161,600 ($202,541) on Collecting Cars. Even the 1-of-10 Le Mans Clubsport Classic built by them went for around £250,000 ($313,716) when it was on sale. We realize that’s still not cheap, but it’s a fraction of the price of just about any Singer.

With that being said, just because it comes with a cheaper price tag doesn’t necessarily mean you’re getting an inferior car. With 316 hp (320 PS / 235 kW) from a fully reworked 3.6-liter flat-six sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission, the Clubsport 320 offers comparable performance to many Singer models, as well as the same type of enjoyable analogue driving experience that any buyer of a restomodded 911 craves.
It also comes with all the same attention to detail, with things like the de-seamed roof, teardrop race-style mirrors, and color-matched engine fan all serving as testaments to Paul Stephens’ craftsmanship. There’s also details like the reupholstered seats with tartan centers, full leather dashboard, and redone headliner to provide a similar level of class on the interior.
All of this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Porsche‘s laundry list of modifications, and to hear the full rundown of everything that’s been done to make this car so special, you can check out the video below.
