The C8 Corvette Looks Even Better With Central Exhausts

The C8 Corvette Stingray has proven to be a huge hit for Chevrolet but one aspect of it that has prompted debate is the absence of four central tailpipes like some previous generations of Corvette. That’s where NAP comes in.

The German tuner has developed a new quad exhaust system for the C8 Corvette made from high-quality V2A stainless steel. The system incorporates two electronically damped and actuated 3-inch high-speed valves that open and close in a matter of milliseconds. These valves are operated by the tuner’s Automatic Wireless Valve Control system that reads the CAN bus signals from the ‘Vette’s powertrain and adjusts the valves accordingly. Drivers can also switch between different modes manually by using the car’s standard Z-mode button.

Two different versions of the exhausts will be offered. The first sees the exhaust adorned with a polished finish while a matte black option is also available.

Given that the C8 Corvette was designed to feature two exhausts on either side of the rear bumper, NAP has had to redesign the rear apron of the Corvette. This new apron can be finished in either gloss black or carbon fiber.

Customers across Europe will be pleased to know that NAP’s exhaust system comes with ABE approval in Germany and EC approval for the wider European Union. Pricing details have not yet been announced.

A plethora of other aftermarket exhaust systems is available for the C8 Corvette. For example, the system developed by Borla is particularly ferocious and gives the sports car some added flair. A company by the name of Aerolarri also sells a central quad system for the car.
