Ford Responds After Ridiculous Dealer F-150 Lightning Price Markups Are Brought To Light (Update)
After we reported on dealers listing the F-150 Lightning with some rather hefty markups, Ford contacted us and told us they had reached out to the dealerships listed in the article. As such, all Lightnings advertised had either been adjusted to MSRP, or taken down, while the “mannequin” or demonstrator models should never have been advertised in the first place.
2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America Unveiled From $184,920
An exclusive for the U.S. market, the new special edition 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet is on its way to customers and will start at just under $185,000. The GTS Cabriolet America gets some notable standard additions, including a sport exhaust, the Sport Chrono Package, and a bold exterior finish inspired by the original 1953 356 America Roadster. The color scheme sees the 911 painted in Azure Blue, with the windshield frame painted in black, and sporting contrasting white RS Spyder Design wheels. There are also decals finished in white with Guards Red accents that read ‘America,’ and more of those red touches in the cabin.

Geico Ordered To Pay $5.2M To Woman Who Contracted STD In One Of Its Customers’ Car
Auto insurance company Geico was ordered to pay one woman $5.2 million after she caught HPV from one of its customers in a Hyundai that the company insured. The judgment has yet to be finalized, but it’s already been upheld by the Missouri Court of Appeals. The claimant says that she was injured in one of the company’s cars and that the man she caught the STD from had not disclosed the infection to her before having sex in the vehicle.
2024 Honda Prologue: Here’s What We Know About The GM Ultium-Based Electric SUV
Although by no means a trailblazer in the field of battery electric vehicles, Honda’s first EV to be offered to the North American market will be the Prologue SUV. The Prologue will be based on General Motors’ Ultium platform and will retain many elements from the initial sketch that was released earlier this year. However, the glasshouse will be more family-friendly, while the vehicle promises to honor Honda’s reputation for build quality.

A Dutch startup has promised to deliver a car that can go up to seven months without a recharge. That’s because Lightyear (no relation to Buzz) has covered the car in solar panels. By their estimates, this means that — in a best-case scenario in sunny countries — the 0 could theoretically generate enough juice to keep itself charged on the go for a little over half a year.
Jidu Robo-01 EV Coming In 2023 With Level 4 Autonomy And A $30k Price Tag
Chinese company Jidu has unveiled the Robo-01, a car that, once it reaches production form, will be produced by Geely. The aim is to bring Level-4 autonomy to the roads, with the production model slated for release next year. The model will be priced close to ¥200,000 which is roughly $30,000, making it relatively cheap for the technology it carries.

Google Suspends Engineer After Claims Its AI Is Sentient
Google has suspended an engineer after they allegedly broke confidentiality protocol, by saying that an AI chatbot had achieved sentience. The Verge reports that the engineer, Blake Lemoine, was placed on leave, having shared a document questioning whether the AI was sentient. Lemoine then shared some of his findings on Medium.
Microsoft Shows Off New Forza Gameplay
Forza Motorsport has finally been shown off and has been given a Spring 2023 release date. The realistic driving simulator was previewed at the Xbox-Bethesda showcase, with promises of increased immersion, improved physics and vehicle destruction, and a complete day-night cycle.
