Much to Peugeot’s credit, the all-new 508 looks more like a concept car than your typical, mainstream road-going sedan you find in showrooms these days.

Initial reactions to the liftback model have been very positive and it is possible that future derivatives of the 508 could be on the horizon.

With this in mind, Carscoops reader and digital artist Soufyane Benhammouda sent us a pair of renderings depicting a Peugeot 508 Coupe and it certainly looks promising.

For the most part, the front has remained unchanged from the sedan in the renderings. The magic begins with a new roof, seemingly inspired by the double-bubble roof of the sleek Peugeot RCZ. Further modifications include the obvious removal of the two rear doors, the fitment of a ducktail spoiler, and reshaped taillights.

Set to premiere at next week’s Geneva Motor Show, the new Peugeot 508 has the necessary ingredients to give popular German sedans a real scare. Indeed, the cabin of the 508 has received a particularly rapturous reception and offers a much bolder design than anything on offer from Peugeot’s rivals.
