NHTSA Seeking Info From Honda Over Probe Into Unintended Braking On 1.7 Million Vehicles
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is looking to source even more information in its investigation into unintended braking on 1.7 million Hondas. The NHTSA wants details about the sensors, control modules, hardware, software, data, and wiring related to the AEB systems. The net has been widened too, adding the 2017-2018 Acura RDX, 2017-2019 Civic, 2017-2019 Pilot, and 2019 Passport to the list of cars that initially comprised of just Accord and CR-V models.
2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Revealed With Modern Styling Cues And A New Digital Cockpit
The Seltos has turned three, and that means it’s time for a mid-lifecycle refresh. The 2023 Seltos features updated tech and styling. The front end gets new LED lights, the bumper has been redesigned, and there’s a new aluminum skid plate. At the rear, there’s a full-length LED bar that connects the two redesigned taillights. Inside, a new digital cockpit features two 10.25-inch screens, while the dashboard gets ambient lighting.

The new 2024 Silverado EV inches closer to reality as the first prototype has been put through its paces at the Milford Proving Ground. GM CEO Mary Barra tweeted the news, saying she’s “looking forward to seeing your photos of these trucks in the wild when they start testing on Detroit streets next month!”

It’s not been a great week for Formula 1, as the dust begins to settle after Nelson Piquet Sr’s use of a racial slur to describe Lewis Hamilton. Now, the sport is hitting the headlines again, thanks to the words of former head honcho Bernie Ecclestone. Eccelstone, in an interview with British TV, described Russian president Vladimir Putin as a “first-class person” and claimed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could have been averted if Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, had done more in the run-up to the conflict. If that wasn’t enough, Ecclestone said that “I’d still take a bullet for him.”
BMW i3 Bows Out With 10 Special Home Run Editions
The BMW i3’s production run is coming to an end after nine years. This pioneer of BMW’s EV efforts will be celebrated with 10 special Home Run Editions. Each of these units will be painted in either Frozen Dark Grey or Frozen Red II, and get 20-in double-spoke wheels, an electric glass sunroof with solar control glazing, and adaptive headlights. The interior features include Vernasca Dark Truffle upholstery, a leather instrument panel, Carum Grey headliner, ambient lighting, plus heated seats, along with other tech extras.
New Maruti Suzuki Brezza Revealed In India With Mild-Hybrid Tech
The Vitara Brezza has been replaced with an all-new Brezza (dropping the Vitara) and features updated styling and a mild-hybrid drivetrain. However, the architecture under the skin remains the same as the outgoing car. Pricing for the Maruti Suzuki Brezza in India starts from Rs 7.99 lakh ($10,105) for the entry-level manual model, and goes up to Rs 13.96 lakh ($17,654) for the most expensive variant with an automatic gearbox.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has approved SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet system on vehicles that are in motion. It coincides with a new service that Starlink has rolled out for RVs, allowing satellites to be used from multiple locations with no “home” address.
